Hi, I’m Charity — dental hygienist, myofunctional therapist, breathwork coach, personal trainer, runner, and the heart behind One Girl. One Smile.

People assume I got into health and fitness because I wanted to “get healthy.”
But the truth is… I prioritized my health my entire life — just not in a healthy way.

For years, I believed that being fit meant:

  • working out for hours

  • being a certain weight

  • looking a certain way

And I thought that once I looked “perfect,” I would finally feel confident, happy, and proud of myself.

But even when I was 105 pounds…
I was miserable.
I hated how I looked.
I punished myself with exercise.
I had no self-esteem.
And nothing was ever enough.

I wasn’t healthy —
I was chasing perfection.

💛 How Everything Changed

At some point, I realized something had to change. I could keep living in a constant war with myself… or I could choose to love my body and treat it like it deserves to be loved. Not for how it looks. Not for a number on a scale. But for how it feels, performs, and supports my life. That’s when health finally became healing. Running stopped being punishment and became therapy. Movement became strength, not self-hatred. And taking care of myself became an act of love — not control.

Why I do What I do

Most women think they’re failing because they can’t “stay committed,” “stay motivated,” or “be consistent.”

But the truth is:
Your body isn’t the problem.
Your systems are.

When your breathing, airway, tongue posture, sleep, digestion, and muscle patterns are out of balance, your body is constantly working against you — not with you.

These things impact your:

energy
focus
metabolism
oral health
stress
recovery
mood
confidence
motivation

So it’s not that women are weak, lazy, or undisciplined.

Their foundation is off.

Once I understood that, I stopped trying to “fix” myself with more workouts and restriction… and started building a body that could actually function and feel good.

And that’s when everything finally clicked.

So I began putting the pieces together:

Because I learned the hard way:
